Why SkinMapped exists
SkinMapped was created to answer one question:
"Which product is right for my skin?"
I've spent hours at home and in store aisles reading ingredient lists, expert and influencer opinions, product reviews, and brand claims to answer questions like:
- Which ingredients work well for my skin, and which are likely to irritate it?
- What routine actually makes sense for me?
- Which products are worth buying, and which should I skip?
I've spent just as much time doing this research for friends and family as I have for myself. Over time, I've realized that while I genuinely love the learning process, not everyone enjoys digging through ingredients, conflicting advice, and marketing claims before making a purchase. Even if they do, they may not have the time.
SkinMapped is my attempt to make that process simpler.
SkinMapped combines evidence-informed research, product information, and your unique skin profile to recommend skincare that's right for you. Every recommendation is paired with an explanation of why a product may or may not be a good fit—knowledge you can use even after you've left the site.
SkinMapped is not intended to diagnose medical conditions or replace the advice of a dermatologist or aesthetician. The goal is much simpler: to reduce buyer's remorse by helping you make more confident skincare decisions.
Our Principles
- Evidence over marketing.
- Personalized guidance over one-size-fits-all advice.
- Transparency over false certainty.
- The right products, not just more products.
